This accessibility statement applies to the APPLAUS Award website published at applaus-award.de.

We strive to make our website accessible in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0), implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102. Accessibility requirements are based on the current BITV.

Improving accessibility and gradually removing barriers is an ongoing priority for us. At present, the website is only partially accessible. As part of the APPLAUS Award rebranding, a new, largely accessible website was launched in October 2023. In November 2024, the Eye-Able tool was installed, allowing customizable interface settings while continuously checking accessibility in the background. In November 2025, additional pages in plain language and information in German Sign Language were created. Further adjustments and improvements are ongoing.
